Range Rover Section
These Range Rovers are heading to South America with a group from MA. The
vehicles were sent to ECR in stock form for us to handle the needed modifications
for expedition use in South America. The expedition leader choose ECR to
outfit their Rovers due to the fact that we know what Rovers need for this
kind of work. We use our own Rovers on treks all over North America and
we use Rover exclusively for our out of country expedition work. These Rover
will be getting a long list of upgrades including an ARB front bumpers,
Warn 10,000 winches, Old Man Emu springs, Bilstein shocks, Stabilizer relocation
kits, tie rod guards, ECR custom rear bumpers, and much more.
This image shows ECR's HD steering gear. We don't use a big plate to cover
the steering gear because we have found on tough terrain during expeditions
they can hang the vehicle up by wedging rocks or other obstacles between
the axle and the guards. Our answer to the weak Rover steering gear is a
HD panhard rod, a front mounted stabilizer, a full 3/16" thick tie
rod guard (not just a stronger tie rod, those will bend!)
When these Rovers are finished they will both be container shipped to South
America for the trek.
