1992 Range Rover Classic
Repair and Off Road Upgrades

This Range Rover has come to us from New York for a host of upgrades and some service work. It is in great shape, and will be getting everything to protect is underside from off road hazards as well as some things to make it a little more capable for the owner's upcoming trip out of the county.

One of the many upgrades is this ARB front bumper with Warn winch that we installed. We also installed a set of PIAA 80 lights so that the road is in full view at night. We also installed a suspension lift by adding Old Man Emu coil springs and a rear shock drop kit to make sure that the Range Rover can use all of that added articulation in the rear.

Also installed was this raised air intake system for the V8. This Mantec unit fits nicely and works well for keeping the V8s air supply up out of the dust.

The air intake in black, matches nicely with the Brownchurch full length roof rack. We'll also be installing a rear work/reverse light as well as 4 more PIAA lights on the front of the roof rack.

Here you can see some of the protection items we added to the underside of this Range Rover. We fitted it with our full width tie rod guard (our unit allows for the use of the stock front sway bar, as in this case) Safari Gary differential guards front and rear, as well as our heavy duty drag link and steering stabilizer relocation kit (seen above). We also upgraded the stabilizer to an Old Man Emu unit to keep the front end under control on washboard roads.

In this image you can see the suspension lift that we installed. Don't worry, those wheenie tires are going to be replaced with a set of 235/85 BFG Radials, and we'll be custom painting the alloys in black.

Here you can see the custom bracket and Hella work / reverse light installed. It is controlled inside and can be used as a work light, or it can be be switched to come on automatically with the reverse lights, a very handy thing for night time off roading.

Speaking of night off roading. This Range Rover will have no problems seeing its way clear, with 2 PIAA 80s on the bumper, and with the custom low mount brackets we made for these 4 roof rack mounted PIAA units, this Rover creates daylight in almost any condition. Notice how we mount the lights low on the roof rack with custom mounts so that limbs and other obstacles don't have a chance to break or bend the lights. If the customer installed limb risers the lights would be almost completely protected.

This image shows the custom ECR ROX rear bumper for the Range Rover Classic. This unit keeps the factory hitch point in place and replaces those weak plastic end caps and sheet metal bumper with a one piece heavy duty 3/16" formed steel unit. This unit has 2 recovery points built in and has been painted satin black to match the ARB front bumper. A nice, low profile, very strong addition to this or any other Range Rover Classic.

Here you can see the Quick Air 2 system we installed in the Rover. This compressor works great and is small enough to fit in tight locations. It outperforms most other 12 volt compressors and won't burn up relays or fuses when you use it to fill your tires. We mounted it above the CD changer so that no storage space in the cargo area is wasted.

The customer also had us paint his alloy rims in black to give the Range Rover a great new look. We also installed the 235/85x16 BFG Mud Terrains so that the Range Rover will be able to find grip no matter where it goes.

Here you can see that we have supplied a Hi-Lift jack, a very useful off road tool, and made a custom mount for it in the roof rack. The mount uses lug nuts to hold it in place so that no special tools are needed to remove it, and as you need a lug wrench to get it off, it keeps those who would walk away with your Hi-Lift from walking off with it.

This Range Rover LSE is now complete. We completed a few small service jobs to do to make it 100%, and soon this vehicle will be heading off on a trek with its owner. If you are heading across town or across the planet, ECR is your sources for Rover upgrades and repairs, from small service items to off road upgrades. Our only limitation is your imagination.
Let us know if we can assist you with any of your Rover needs.
