AXLES AND GEARING!
As you upgrade your Rover with lockers and tires that give better traction... don't forget to upgrade your axles. The stock axles are fine for the street, but once you start seeing action on the trails your stock axles can give out, especially under high stress conditions with lockers.
We offer axle upgrades for everything from Series IIA and III Rovers to Range Rovers and Defenders!
Imagine your SIIA 88 with ARB rear locker and HD 24 spline axles!!
Or your 4.6 powered Defender with axles tough enough to take on the hardest trails!!
The 24 spline conversion axles give you a stronger, thicker axle and can cure your breakage problems. The pre-1993 Rovers really need this upgrade, as the old 10 spline units are just not up to the task.
If you are planning on installing lockers in a 10 spline Rover then we highly suggest an axle upgrade to 24 spline at the time of locker install.
If you are doing harder trails with your stock 24 spline axles you may also want to upgrade to these HD 24 spline units. They are much stronger, and made from better materials to the highest quality. Most of the ECR staff run these axles in their own Rovers, and if you know how much 4 wheeling and expedition work our Rovers see you know that means a lot!
